Collections Officer

We are looking for an experienced collections professional to join our team.

Is this you?

Your previous experiences working within a fast paced account collections environment are clearly evident and you thrive in an office team environment.

You are a very well organised individual both personally and professionally. You have incredible time management and prioritisation skills along with a proven track record of having a strategic and methodical approach to reaching your goals.

You exhibit fantastic problem solving skills and have the ability to build long lasting relationships with ease. You have a high level of computer competency with a good understanding and experience in using customer relationship management systems.

The Business

The Role

  • You’ll be working within an experienced collections team who will be there to help you learn and understand our tried and tested collections process.
  • In this role you’ll learn how to balance remaining empathetic to the client’s situation while negotiating acceptable payment plans for the company.
  • Part of the role is learning and improving your skills in negotiating and monitoring payment plans for a portfolio of clients.
  • We have a well thought out process that helps guide our team through their day to day collection activities.
  • We will train you in our company’s best practices around handling inbound and outbound calls as well as professional email communication.
  • We will train you in how to use our state of the art technology to perform skip locating activities.
  • Over time you will become confident enough to delve into our customers individual financial circumstances to fully understand their situation and negotiate the best outcomes for all parties.
  • You will learn everything there is to know about the Privacy Act, ACCC and Legislative requirements so that you can help our business remain compliant with all of our relevant legislative requirements.

  • Previous collections experience is an advantage.
